Absinthe is actually a spirit whose primary elements are the herbs grande wormwood (Artemesia Absinthium), green anise and florence fennel. Various other herbs and ingredients, such as licorice, star anise, angelica root, hyssop and sweet flag, are sometimes used in the creation of Absinthe. These herbs give it its typical sour, bitter and aniseed taste It is readily available clear as Blanche Absinthe or La Bleue, but is usually emerald colored and that is why it had been nicknamed The Green Fairy or La Fee Verte.

Isle of Man
submitted by Aguilera_1972 551 days ago (via mojowhois.com)
The Isle of Man is a self-governing possession of the Crown in right of the Isle of Mann, located in the Irish Sea between the islands of Great Britain and Ireland. The head of state is Queen Elizabeth II, who holds the title of Lord of Mann. The Lord of Mann is represented by a Lieutenant Governor, but its foreign relations and defence are the responsibility of the British Government. The island has been inhabited since before 6500 BC. As one of the six Celtic nations, Gaelic cultural influence began in the 5th century AD, and the Manx language, a branch of the Gaelic languages, gradually emerged. In 627, Edwin of Northumbria conquered the Isle of Man along with most of Mercia. In the 9th century, the Norse began to settle there. Norse people from Scotland then established the Kingdom of the Isles. The Kings title would then carry the suffix, and the Isles. Magnus III, the King of Norway, was also known as King of Mann and the Isles as part of the Hebrides civilization between 1099 and 1103.

Characterized by its distinctive hop aroma and rich, black color, Total Eclipse redefines the way you think about a black ale. Brewed at an average temperature to produce a refreshingly dry finish, Total Eclipse uses only the best possible two-row malted barley and hops grown in the great Pacific Northwest. This combination results in a clean, crisp, hand-crafted experience. Hoppy Brewing Company hasnt used any artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors in some of its ales. Japan
submitted by 1957Carrie 551 days ago (via mojowhois.com)
Japan is an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The characters that make up Japans name mean sun-origin, which is why Japan is often referred to as the Land of the Rising Sun. Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest islands are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, which together comprise about ninety-seven percent of Japans land area. Due to its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Japan is substantially prone to earthquakes and tsunami, having the highest natural disaster risk in the developed world. Japan has the worlds tenth-largest population, with over 126 million people. Honshus Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the de facto capital of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents.
